One of the most common questions we get: How Can I Support Someone ______ (on their mental health journey, during crisis, with their recovery etc). There are so many people out there who want to offer support and help especially to their loved ones who they can see struggling right in front of them. There are also so many of us who feel helpless, hopeless even when it comes to this giant question and how in fact we can help to support other's mental wellness and mental health journey's. One of the first things I always say - there is no one size fits all answer. There is also no quick fix. It takes so many things and continued efforts to form any sort of connection or series of words to feel confident supporting other's - while still taking care of ourselves FIRST. Yes, you heard that right, you need to take care of yourself first.
