We got such amazing feedback from our first entry into this series highlighting the incredible Men's Mental Health Advocates talking the talk and walking the walk every dang day! Thank you so much for joining us in sharing the love and acknowledging their voices. This month is quickly flying away from us so should we not finish the series before month end, have no fear, the conversation can keep on going (and it will!).
Some of these organizations I've had the absolute pleasure and privilege of connecting with. Some came through as recommendations from our community. And some popped up through intensive Google searching. I have to admit, when I first began researching more Men's Mental Health organizations I was worried - not much was popping up and I was seeing firsthand the limited resources and platforms our men have to seek support and community. I was of course glad to see the handful that did make it into this blog, but still, we have work to do. So if you are someone who wants to do big things or create some change in men's mental health, I implore you to take the steps. We need you.
These organizations hold men's mental health at the forefront, but they do such a good job of rounding out their services and ensuring the space is welcoming and inclusive from all perspectives. From community platforms, to resources and tools, to therapy and counselling programs, these initiatives are doing the WORK and we are so inspired to see it:
